Interoperability of Coda Financials Chosen as a Deciding Factor by DecoPac
(firmenpresse) - VICTORIA, BC and MANCHESTER, NH -- (Marketwired) -- 11/21/13 -- , the North American subsidiary of UNIT4, the global leader in software that supports business change, announced today that DecoPac, the world's largest supplier of cake decorations, has teamed up its tailored IBM Application System/400 (AS/400) software with UNIT4 Coda Financials management software.
Over several decades, DecoPac's development team carefully built a custom AS/400 software solution to manage a high volume of transactions and distribution centers as well as produce tailored reports. As part of a system modernization, the company required a flexible accounting system that could provide a solid financial backbone to the existing application environment.
A key consideration in DecoPac's selection of Coda Financials over a PeopleSoft upgrade was Coda's significant track record of supporting AS/400 deployed environments and its integration capabilities. "It became apparent that our internal system alone was not able to keep pace with the reporting and analytical requirements of our expanding business," says Val Arntson, Information Technology Director at DecoPac. "The integration with Coda Financials as the back-office system enhances our custom system, and maximizes levels of visibility and collaboration throughout our company. Having the two systems tightly integrated will fulfill the changing needs of our business," she adds.
