Sale of Onex Corporation Shares
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 11/25/13 -- New PCo Investments Ltd., a company controlled by Gerald W. Schwartz, stated today that it has sold 1,000,000 subordinate voting shares of Onex Corporation ("Onex") to Onex in a private transaction. The shares, which represent approximately 0.9% of the outstanding subordinate voting shares, were sold at a price of $56.50 per share.
The transaction was approved by the independent members of the Onex Board of Directors and was consummated at a discount to the most recent closing price of the Onex subordinate voting shares and to the most recent twenty-day average closing price.
Mr. Schwartz now beneficially owns or exercises control or direction over an aggregate of 20,108,018 subordinate voting shares, representing approximately 17.8% of the total outstanding subordinate voting shares. Mr. Schwartz also beneficially owns and controls all of the outstanding multiple voting shares of Onex.
