New SDK Enables Developers to More Quickly Deploy WPF-Based Image Capture .NET Applications Using TWAIN, UVC / WIA, Scanners, Webcams and Other Devices
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BC -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/13 -- Dynamsoft Corp. has updated its Dynamic .NET TWAIN software development kit (SDK) to version 5.0, which now provides built-in support for Windows® Presentation Foundation (WPF). This allows software developers to more rapidly build WPF-based applications for image capturing from TWAIN scanners or UVC / WIA webcams and other devices. WPF is a Microsoft® graphical subsystem for rendering user interfaces in Windows-based applications. With native support for WPF, Dynamic .NET TWAIN 5.0 now provides developers an expedited path to building and deploying .NET applications that use a WPF interface. The SDK supports the latest version of WPF -- WPF 4.5 -- and previous versions. The SDK has built-in support for image capture from scanners, webcams and other devices using TWAIN, WIA and UVC application programming interfaces (API). These features and more practically eliminate worries related to ensuring device compatibility in WinForm, WPF or other .NET applications. Extension features include image editing and uploading capabilities to allow post-capture processing. Captured images can be saved to a local disk, web server or database. Save formats include BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, multi-page TIFF, PDF and multi-page PDF formats.
