- First Esprit home kitchen to be presented in January 2011 at the 'Living
Kitchen' furniture fair
- Products available from February 2011
Düsseldorf, September 28, 2010 - Alno AG, one of the world's largest
manufacturers of fitted kitchens, has concluded a licensing agreement with
Esprit. From now on Alno is thus the official and exclusive partner for the
kitchen segment. The first 'esprit home' kitchen is scheduled to be
presented at the international furniture fair 'Living Kitchen' in Cologne
in January 2011. From February 2011 this kitchen range with top-quality
kitchen fittings will be available in furniture stores and from kitchen
specialists - first in Germany, and later in other countries. The price
range for end users will be between EUR 4,000 and EUR 7,000.
The new Esprit home kitchens will be based on the Wellmann brand, which
belongs to the Alno Group, and which stands for next generation kitchens
and for a clear-cut, elegant style. Kitchen buyers will be able to clearly
recognize the new kitchen series as Esprit kitchens as they will be
equipped with a range of product elements specific to Esprit. At the same
time, the kitchens will be characterized by their ergonomic functionality,
a wide variety of possible layouts and many innovative details.
'We have geared these kitchens in particular to middle-aged customers who
attach great value to a certain image,' commented Jörg Deisel, Alno AG's
CEO. 'Esprit is an ideal fit with Alno in terms of product value and its
lifestyle character. Esprit home is also a tried-and-trusted concept that
already works excellently for many other products. That is why we are
confident that our kitchens will also be a success under this label,' he
added.
Ursula Buck, Esprit Executive Director Products + Licenses, is also very
positive about the strategic alliance. 'During the past few months Alno has
enjoyed great success in starting its restructuring program. And that shows
that this company is transitioning to become a state-of-the-art,

strategic alliance that is a perfect fit with Esprit. And that partner is
