Booking volume growth continues: 19.0% rise to Euro 107.96 million in third
quarter of 2010

Nuremberg, 7 October 2010* - Booking volumes at hotel.de AG showed further
growth in the third quarter of 2010 as well. Year-on-year, booking volumes
rose 19.0% from Euro 90.73 million to Euro 107.96 million. With growth of
20.1%, the company's international activities performed even better than
its domestic business (+18.2%). Booking volumes in France (measured in
terms of hotel location) showed a particularly marked improvement, rising
by 31.7%. Overall, international booking volumes totalled Euro 45.90
million (Q3 2009: Euro 38.21 million), while domestic booking volumes
amounted to Euro 62.06 million (Q3 2009: Euro 52.51 million).

Length of stay and room rates also on the increase

The trend towards longer stays also continued in the third quarter of 2010,
as did the slight rise in room rates. While corporate customers in
particular cut their travel budgets noticeably in the past economic crisis,
this customer group is now beginning to ease the controls placed on travel
activity. hotel.de in turn stands to benefit from higher reservation
volumes per booking as a result.

Bookings pass the half-a-million mark

As in the two previous quarters, the number of bookings made also rose
compared with the previous year. A total of 533,645 bookings were made via
hotel.de and hotel.info in the third quarter of 2010, equivalent to a 13.3%
increase on the previous year's period (Q3 2009: 470,992). The
disproportionate rise in booking volumes compared with the number of
bookings made documents the trend towards longer hotel stays and higher
accommodation prices already referred to above.





This overall growth is attributable both to the trend towards inexpensive
online reservation systems and to the investments made by hotel.de AG in
acquiring new customers, especially abroad. 'Consistently pressing ahead
with our internationalisation strategy has enabled us to further expand our
international market position in recent months. In our marketing and sales
activities, we will be continuing to focus both on acquiring new booking
customers and on expanding the range of international hotels on offer',
commented Dr. Heinz Raufer, CEO of hotel.de AG. Compared with domestic
bookings, international bookings are characterised by higher average
lengths of stay, and thus by higher booking volumes, and are therefore
especially important for improving the company's key earnings figures in
the longer term.
