DF Deutsche Forfait AG opens Ghana office
- African market has great growth potential

Cologne, 12 October 2010 - DF Deutsche Forfait AG (Prime Standard, ISIN:
DE0005488795) has opened an office in Accra, Ghana. This step comes in
response to positive economic development in numerous African countries and
increasing trade between Western industrialized nations as well as larger
emerging markets with Africa.
The new office operates under the name DF Deutsche Forfait West Africa
Limited and is a joint venture with the local partner Northshore
Investments Ltd., which holds a 40% share.
'Africa is an extremely interesting market for us. The continent's gross
domestic product and trading volume are growing considerably. This upturn
mainly results from Africa's stronger economic ties with the emerging
markets Brazil, India and particularly China,' comments Ulrich Wippermann,
member of the Board of Management of DF Deutsche Forfait AG.
The main reasons for choosing Ghana as a location depends less on the size
of the market than its stable political situation and the country's
position as a business gateway to West Africa.
'According to figures published by the World Bank, Ghana ranks among the
global top 10 reformers. The country's corporate customer and banking
markets are also very attractive to the forfaiting business because there
is considerable demand for financing solutions for the growing export
business and competition is limited,' adds Ulrich Wippermann.
Apart from Cairo, where DF Deutsche Forfait AG has had a cooperation
partner for many years, Accra, Ghana, is the company's second office in
Africa and its 12th in total.
With this new location, the company is strengthening its international
network, creating synergies with its other offices abroad and tapping into
new regions with a high potential for the forfaiting business.
