Marburg, December 2013. Fantastically exciting, not just pleasant routine. A new baby turns your life upside down. Everything is different and completely new. Things are no longer the same. With its ground-breaking new advertising campaign "love the change", manduca hopes to encourage young parents to adopt a positive approach to these changes and to embrace this new life in its entirety. Developed by the Frankfurt agency "Wolkenkratzer", the new manduca advertising concept features youthful imagery, bold headlines and emotional text, setting it clearly apart from the conventional soft advertising used in the baby products industry.
Three different twists on "love the change"
The three strong motifs for the "love the change" campaign each have a different focus but are all united by powerful emotions. For example, the Leitmotif “Such an awesome day today” (Heute ist ‘ne geile Zeit) expresses exactly how young mothers feel who can hardly believe their luck despite sleepless nights. The "We” (Wir) focuses on the daily routine with a baby and the "I" disappears in the feeling of togetherness with your baby yet at the same time experiences unimaginable closeness. And the motif “Everything's changed” (Und dann ist alles anders) will resonate with men who had a slightly different idea of what it would be like to be a father and who are completely overwhelmed by the reality of their new lives with a baby.
The challenge to "love the change" is manduca's message to parents: we know how young parents feel when a new baby causes their whole lives to be turned upside down from one moment to the next. manduca understands and gives new parents confidence to meet the new challenge and can offer genuine assistance with a comfortable baby carrier.
Creative team for manduca
The concept of the campaign and its implementation, including photography by Astrid Grosser (Stöver Agency), was entirely in the hands of the Frankfurt communications agency Wolkenkratzer which has been responsible for manduca's branding since 2010. They have demonstrated time and again that they are capable of coming up with fresh ideas. "Thanks to the creative talent in Frankfurt, manduca has really made a mark with the new campaign," said Petra Schachtner, Managing Director of Wickelkinder GmbH. "They can be really proud of "love the change", as we are too."
