Premier Wedding Destination Seeking Clever, Romantic and Creative Proposals

Couples who submit a video of their funny, clever, romantic, or even disastrous (but with a happy ending) proposal will have a chance to win a designer wedding package at Encanterra Country Club. The " grand prize, worth more than $50,000, will include a complete ceremony and reception package customized especially for the bride and groom.
"Technology like smartphones and social media has turned 'popping the question' into an art form," said Hal Looney, Arizona area president of Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities. "We're hoping our contest will inspire some brides and grooms to share the story and video of their amazing or creative marriage proposal with us for the opportunity to exchange their vows at a premier wedding destination like Encanterra."
Couples may enter the by submitting their wedding proposal video and story at by 11:59 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
Finalists will be selected, based on the originality and creativity of their entries, and posted to a voting page, beginning Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. Couples are encouraged to spread the word to their friends and family via email, social media, etc., to generate as many votes as possible. The winning couple will be announced live during at Encanterra on Saturday, March 8, 2014.
"We hear so many wonderful proposal stories from the brides and grooms who choose to get married at Encanterra. We'd love to reward one creative couple by giving them an amazing designer wedding for free," Looney added.
The grand prize package will include the rehearsal dinner; ceremony and reception venue; on-site wedding coordination; customized catering; all tables, chairs and linens; a hosted cocktail hour; flowers; DJ; photography; and one-of-a-kind wedding cake. In addition, Encanterra will make one of its Taste the Good Life vacation homes available to the couple on the night of their wedding.
Prizes may be awarded to the second and third place contestants as well.
