VietNam Holding Ltd mandates Close Brothers Seydler Bank AG as its new
Designated Sponsor
November 4, 2010: VietNam Holding Ltd, an investment company with a
diversified portfolio of Vietnamese equities, announces that it has
mandated Close Brothers Seydler Bank AG, the Small- and Mid-Cap specialist,
as its designated sponsor (market maker) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
with trading start November 1st, 2010. VietNam Holding Ltd shares are
listed on the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as well as on
the London Stock Exchange's AIM Market.
Min Hwa Hu Kupfer, Chairperson of VietNam Holding Ltd. commented: 'We have
mandated Close Brothers Seydler Bank AG because we want to further improve
the liquidity in our shares to the benefit of our existing and potential
new investors. This step is part of our goal to further raise the profile
of VietNam Holding in the German-speaking markets.'
Close Brothers Seydler Bank AG is the market leading Sponsor in Germany as
per number of mandates and has been consistently assigned with an 'AA'
rating by the German Stock Exchange. Designated Sponsors provide additional
liquidity and support trading on the Exchange's electronic trading platform
Xetra by offering binding prices for the bid- and ask-side and are
responsible for alleviating any imbalances between supply and demand. Close
Brothers Seydler Bank AG will therefore be responsible for improving
liquidity in the shares of VietNam Holding.
Designated Sponsors' quotes must satisfy certain quality criteria (minimum
requirements) stipulated by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
