IMMOFINANZ Group wins at the European Change Communication Awards 2010
At this year's European Change Communication Awards in Klessheim near
Salzburg, the IMMOFINANZ Group won second prize in the category for
companies with up to 500 employees. The IMMOFINANZ Group change process -
which was entitled 'A company reinvents itself' - was chosen from 52
European nominees.
The change process began in autumn 2008 after the first reports on
IMMOFINANZ appeared in the media and the need for massive restructuring
became clear. Measures were launched immediately by a change communication
team, which was responsible for minimising employee turnover and supporting
the creation of new internal departments in order to quickly establish a
new corporate culture.
The tremendous damage to the company's image within an extremely short
period of time presented the entire staff with a major challenge. The
overriding goal was to build a firm foundation for orientation and
stability to support the installation of transparent processes throughout
the company. Different infrastructures were also required, whereby their
development was based on a new strategy, a modified business model, a
common vision, clear hierarchy levels and an internal control system to
monitor business processes. Activities also included the design and
implementation of personnel policies with effective training programmes and
optimised recruiting procedures as well as a transparent organisational
structure and defined compensation ranges.
An additional challenge for the change process was the need to replace the
HR, IT and back office structures.
The change communication team was headed by Daniel Riedl, member of the
Executive Board of the IMMOFINANZ Group, and also included Martina Wimmer,
Head of Human Resources, Karin Kernmayer, Head of Marketing, and external
consultants. The success of their efforts demonstrated in an impressive
manner that the IMMOFINANZ Group is a stable, functioning and profitable
company.
Daniel Riedl, member of the Executive Board of the IMMOFINANZ Group, on
