Freiburg, January 13, 2011. In the fiscal year 2010, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG
(German security identification number: 702 100, ISIN: DE0007021008)
installed photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of approximately 67
MWp in Germany and abroad. These included large-scale projects such as two
projects in Apulia in Italy of 4.9 MWp and 4.7 MWp, the 5.1 MWp system in
Kamenicna in the Czech Republic and also the 2.13 MWp project on a former
waste disposal site in Spaichingen, Baden-Württemberg. The company thus
completed all its projects for 2010 as planned despite the adverse weather
conditions which prevailed for much of December. The financial results for
the year 2010 will be published as planned on March 31, 2011.
The company aims to maintain its profitable growth into 2011 and forecasts
sales of EUR260 to EUR280 million and EBIT of EUR16 to EUR18 million.
'We are very satisfied with the business performance in 2010 and we managed
to complete all projects as planned', said Dr. Karl Kuhlmann, CEO of S.A.G.
Solarstrom AG. 'Together with our partners, we installed systems with a
total capacity of approximately 67 MWp which is almost double the total for
2009. The demand for monitoring and other services has also risen
significantly in 2010.'
Key to the growth strategy of the Freiburg-based photovoltaic specialist
are their uncompromising focus on quality, their broad international
positioning to compensate for the regulatory risks in individual countries,
and the expansion of their services area. 'We already generate over half of
our sales abroad and will continue to grow our international business',
explains Dr. Kuhlmann.
The company's project pipeline for 2011 is very healthy. It includes a 48
MWp project in the Venice area in Italy and a 23 MWp rooftop installation
at a large German logistics company. Additional projects are planned in
other European countries, especially France.
'The market situation is currently uncertain especially due to the
continuing discussions on feed-in tariffs in Germany and other European
countries', adds Dr. Kuhlmann. 'However, our company has sufficient
flexibility to continue growing in 2011 as planned. We anticipate sales
this year between EUR260 and EUR280 million and EBIT between EUR16 and
EUR18 million.'
