(firmenpresse) - Lexington, SC April 14, 2014 — A unique phenomenon is happening here in the midlands. A small group of local business owners have joined together to go against the norm of “looking out for themselves” and have decided instead to invest in building up their fellow small and medium size businesses here locally.
Their motto is “Givers Gain”, the more business they can give to their fellow local business, the more they gain. This is more than just a motto as they keep up with every referral given and the resulting closed business.
This group is made up of a variety of professions: Bank Services,Glass Company, Plumber, Roofing-Gutters, Financial Advisor, Information Technology, Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Sign Company, Employment Agency, Jewelry-Fashion, Attorney, Real Estate Agent, Website Design Company, Carpet Cleaning, Fitness Trainer and more. See the full list and contact information for these businesses. http://www.dbl07.co/bni/
The group is called BNI - Business Network International and there are 3 chapters in Lexington and several that meet at various times across Columbia. One chapter of BNI that meets in Lexington is the Referral Resource Group and they are currently looking for other small business owners to whom they can refer business.
On May 1st, 2014 they have an annual Visitor’s Day meeting so you can learn more about the organization and find out if you would be interested in generating a steady source of referral business for yourself. What makes BNI unique is that it allows only one person per profession to join a Chapter. So, once your business has joined, none of your competitor’s can participate.
One local business owner had this to say about the Lexington chapter. “This group is energetic, fun and in my opinion, 'They are the most interesting group in the world. They are so interesting that Chamber of Commerce joins THEM!”
Seating may be limited, so please RSVP online at www.bni-scga.com. Click ‘Events’ and look for “Referral Resource Group Visitor’s Day” on May 1, 2014. You can also RSVP by calling Chapter contact: Shirley Towne at 803-447-4244 or Steven Scheeler at 803-998-8400. There is no charge to attend and the Chapter will provide a full
sit-down meal.
(Remember to bring plenty of business cards to pass around, as you will meet lots of local business professionals.)
Currently, BNI has over 160,000 Chapters Internationally. Last year, members of BNI passed 5.4 million referrals which generated $6.5 billion worth of business for each other.
