The IMS Photo Contest 2014 powered by BMW challenges again the international photographer’s world
(firmenpresse) - After the successful edition of 2013, with the participation of 2400 photographers from almost 100 countries the Kiku. International Mountain Summit (IMS) starts the new IMS Photo Contest. Meanwhile, it is considered the biggest photography competition worldwide regarding the mountain’s theme.
The IMS Photo Contest 2014 powered by BMW runs under the motto ”Mountain.Four.Elements”.
Earth, water, air and fire shape the rock and design new and spectacular forms. Thunderstorms, clouded sky, pristine springs, ice needles, ray of sunlight, lava flows and more… The 4 elements present themselves in endless forms and acts. The IMS is looking for unique snapshot, in which the mountain is in play with one or more of the four elements.
Photographers from all over the world can upload their picture on the website of IMS (www.IMS.bz) within July 31st. The sought KIKU Photo Award, provided by the gourmet apple KIKU, can be won in three categories.
The total prize of 7.800 Euros will be assigned to the winners of the categories: Facebook-Voting, Public-Voting and Jury-Voting.
Internet users can vote within August 7th at 12 AM for their favorites in the Photo Gallery by clicking on the “I like“-button of Facebook.
The 100 best pictures of the contest will compete for the three prizes in the category Public-Voting.
Users have a period of time ranging from August 18th to September 5th to pick out their own three favorites. The winners will be those, who will have gained the majority of the votes.
The jury of professionals, instead, evaluates all the uploaded photos, chooses among the 100 best pictures and selects the three winners of the IMS Photo Contest 2014 powered by BMW.
The award ceremony and the presentation of the digital photo exhibition will take place within the framework of the 6th edition of the Kiku. International Mountain Summit (16th – 21th October 2014) in Brixen/Bressanone.
