(OTCBB: TSTA), a leading provider of clean airtechnologies, today announced the signing of a worldwide, exclusiveSales & Marketing agreement to promote the patented Catalytic GasTreatment (CGT) technology developed by Quebec-based PROCD GroupeConseil Inc.CGT is a significant development in the control of Volatile OrganicCompounds (VOCs). VOCs such as formaldehyde are air pollutants, withindividual compounds associated with smog, global warming and cancer.TurboSonic's proprietary clean air technology will be integrated withPROCD's CGT technology for use by building products and otherindustries requiring VOC control. In contrast to carbon sequestration, which typically focuses on thecapture, use, or storage of CO2, CGT technology avoids CO2 creationin the first place, which is a much more desirable, cost-effectivesolution. In addition, the US EPA has recently declared that CO2 is amajor hazard to public health and welfare. Rather than utilizingtraditional thermal destruction technologies dependent on costlynatural gas to thermally oxidize formaldehyde and other VOCs,generating large amounts of greenhouse gases (GHGs), the patented CGTtechnology utilizes an environmentally friendly catalytic process todestroy VOCs without the production of harmful, combustion-relatedGHGs and smog-producing nitrogen oxides.Edward Spink, TurboSonic CEO, stated, "We are particularly pleased inarriving at this exclusive agreement with PROCD. We believe that thispatented technology offers users the potential for a return oninvestment from fuel savings alone compared with traditionaltechnology, and we believe this will qualify for carbon credits underproposed cap-and-trade legislation, as well as provide significantenvironmental benefits. CGT installations are already demonstratingthat this is a cost-effective and reliable technology with lowoperating costs. TurboSonic recently announced a US$4 million orderfor CGT technology, which was selected over regenerative thermaloxidizer (RTO) technology. We believe the market for CGT isextensive: with thousands of RTOs in operation in the US alone, CGTis an obvious choice for their replacement as operators look to lowertheir operating costs. We anticipate that this agreement will extendour ability to offer leading-edge solutions to our customers, andthat our sales of CGT technology will form a significant contributionto our plans for growth."TurboSonic Technologies (www.turbosonic.com) designs and markets airpollution control technologies to industrial customers worldwide. Itsproducts help companies in the Cement and Mineral Processing,Ethanol, Metals & Mining, Petrochemicals, Power Generation, Pulp &Paper, Waste Incineration, and Wood Products industries meet thestrictest emissions regulations, improve performance and reduceoperating costs.Certain statements in this press release are "forward-lookingstatements" within the meaning of the Private Securities LitigationReform Act of 1995 and involve known and unknown risks, uncertaintiesand other factors that may cause the Company's actual results, performance or achievements to be materially different from theresults, performance or achievements expressed or implied by theforward-looking statement.
