Aluminium Brazing has record number of visitors in 2014
(PresseBox) - For the second time, DVS - Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V, with the support of DVS Media GmbH, had been the organizer of the 8th International Congress Aluminium Brazing and Exhibition. From June 3 - 5, 2014, 250 participants and 13 exhibitors from 28 countries had made their way to Dusseldorf to the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel and thus set a new record number of visitors for the event. "The Aluminiumlötkongress is the only event with a focus on aluminum brazing," emphasizes Dr. Hans-Walter Swidersky, Manager Technical Marketing & Sales at Solvay Fluor GmbH in Hannover. Solvay Fluor GmbH is also the intellectual partner of Aluminium Brazing. He sees reason to celebrate because: "The record number of participants, 250 - this means an increase of about 30 percent in comparison to 2012 - points to the very good acceptance of the event."
22 lectures shed light from different sides on the world of brazing of aluminum materials. A wide range of topics from research and practice had been offered to interested visitors, starting from the materials topic through applications, devices, process and quality control, up to research and development. The participants largely came from industry, and they assessed the lectures for the most part as being very informative and the majority of them also intend to attend the congress again in 2016.
The accompanying exhibition offered the participants the opportunity to inform themselves in detail about the current product range and service offer of the companies present. At the same time, the overall event was the ideal platform in order to refresh industry contacts and to establish new ones. Above all, the international aspect of the 8th International Congress Aluminium Brazing and Exhibition was of particular importance for many visitors and exhibitors. For instance, one exhibitor commented that the congress kept getting more and more international interest, something that is important from her perspective.
From April 19 - 21, 2016, the 9th International Congress Aluminium Brazing and Exhibition intends to continue with this year's successful event. The DVS will announce the necessary information on this in good time.
