transfairlog 2014: Trade fair will not take place - transport sector insufficiently represented
(PresseBox) - With great regret EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH of Munich is obliged to cancel transfairlog 2014 four months before the scheduled start. transfairlog, the 2nd Trade Fair for International Transport and Logistics Management, had been planned to take place from 4 to 6 November at Hamburg Trade Fair Centre.
The current level of registrations and only muted interest in particular from companies involved in maritime and land transports show that the concept for the trade fair is not sufficiently supported by the key firms in these segments.
"We did not want to put on another intralogistics trade fair. When important players that represent the transport segments are missing, then the event loses the critical basis for bringing together supply and demand in the expected proportions in line with the concept," said Exhibition Director, Peter Kazander. "When this variety of themes is not represented, then we cannot deliver the promised quality level. In the interests of fairness the right thing to do is then to call a halt in good time. What must not happen is that the customers end up paying extra. The exhibitors rely on us for their planning, and with transfairlog we have had to make a clear but painful decision."
