AEG Power Solutions Acquires OpciónDos, Spanish Solar Engineering Company
Acquisition enhances AEG PS in providing integrated solar solutions, a new
step one year after taking a majority in skytron, specialized in monitoring
and supervision
Zwanenburg, the Netherlands - March 8, 2011. AEG Power Solutions (AEG PS),
wholly-owned by 3W Power Holdings S.A. (Euronext Amsterdam 3WP, Frankfurt
3W9, ISIN GG00B39QCR01, WKN A0Q5SX) strengthens its position in the
engineering of photovoltaic solutions with the acquisition of OpciónDos.
Founded in 2005, Madrid-based OpciónDos has developed an expertise in
integrating photovoltaic technologies into the built-in environment. Their
know-how and engineering capacity have made them a specialist of complex
rooftops installations in industrial and commercial environments.
In Spain they have several prestigious references which include Ikea in La
Coruña and 'La Vaguada', a landmark shopping center in Madrid for which the
company was awarded the 'Best PV Installation' of the Province of Madrid in
2008.
Commenting on the acquisition, Enrique de la Cruz, said: 'As we are
growing rapidly on the solar market, it's essential for AEG Power Solutions

OpciónDos will be a dedicated unit within the Solar SBU (Strategic Business
Unit) of AEG Power Solutions.
