Prairie Mining Limited (Prairie or Company) is pleased announce that it has made a number of appointments to its senior management team to support the development of the Lublin Coal Project (LCP or Project) located in south eastern Poland. Prairie has strengthened its management team in support of the ongoing feasibility study program for the LCP including the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) which will commence in the coming weeks and is expected to be completed during the first half of 2015.

Prairies CEO Mr Ben Stoikovich said I am delighted with the extremely high calibre management team we have assembled, as Prairie moves into the PFS stage, and I believe this is testament to the quality and scale of the Lublin Coal Project. The Project has the potential to be the first new coal mine developed in Poland since the mid 1980's and the first to attract international financing. The members of our management team are international experts in the fields of geological reporting, technical and economic assessments, coal marketing and environmental and social impact assessments and have long, successful careers in the global mining industry. Our team will be focused on delivering study outputs to the highest international standards in support of future international bank financing engagements.

Project Development Manager: Mr Nick Edmunds
Mr Edmunds has been appointed as Project Development Manager, responsible for the management of the technical study programs for the LCP. Mr Edmunds is a Chartered Mining Engineer with 35 years of experience in coal, non-metals mining industries and radioactive waste management. He received his early training in mine production management with British Coal, and subsequently held senior line management positions at UK collieries.

Mr Edmunds is a qualified underground coal mine manager with expertise in longwall coal mining and shaft design and was also involved with introducing modern roof-bolting technology to the British coalfields in the late 1980s. Mr Edmunds moved into consultancy in 1990 and has held senior positions with Wardell Armstrong as Partner/ Technical Director and with Parsons Brinkerhoff as Director of Mining and Energy Support Services. Most recently Mr Edmunds led the European mining practice of Royal Haskoning.

Mr Edmunds is an experienced project director, manager and engineer responsible for managing commissions that have included feasibility studies, programming, design, technical specification, health and safety, contract preparation and adjudication and delivery. He has been involved in the preparation of due diligence and competent person reports for stock exchange listings and has recently worked on major mining projects in the UK, Kazakhstan, Mozambique and South Africa. He has extensive international experience having worked in Eastern Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. Mr Edmunds is considered a Competent Person for coal mine feasibility studies under JORC, NI 43-101 and SAMREC.

Mr Edmunds will be responsible for the day to day management of Prairies technical study program for the LCP including the upcoming PFS.

Geoscience Manager: Mr Jonathan ODell
Mr ODell was formerly the Chief Coal Geologist within the Parsons Brinckerhoff Mining Services Group with a focus on coal resource estimation. He is a Competent Person for coal resource estimation under the JORC Code. He has over 40 years experience in the drilling and coal mining industries gaining his early experience with British Drilling and Freezing where he worked on tunneling, shaft rehabilitation and the drilling of deep cored boreholes and hydrogeological holes. His role included being site engineer for the shaft sinking on the Selby New Mine Project where he was responsible for up to five drilling rigs for the drilling and installation of ground freezing pipes.

Mr ODell then became a mine geologist for the Western Area of the National Coal Board/British Coal, gaining a full range of experience in the geology of deep coal mining. Since his time at British Coal, Mr ODell has worked on a number of assignments for a range UK based consultancies and junior mining companies, mostly focused on resource assessment and exploration. Mr ODell has extensive experience with resource assessments that combine new exploration data with historical Soviet style/GKZ reporting data, such as is the case with the LCP.

Mr ODell will be responsible for all aspects of Prairies exploration program and resource estimation for the LCP, including the design and management of current and future drilling programs and resource upgrades.

Coal Marketing Consultant: Mr Steve Williams
Mr Williams was formerly Executive Director of Coal Recovery Investments, a company that has been producing coal from the reclamation of coal mining tips in Poland and in the UK. Mr Williams has over 20 years experience in coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) design, management and coal marketing in Europe. Prior to this, Mr Williams was Managing Director of Ryan Mining, a UK company that had a number of divisions in mineral extraction, mineral trading, management of port facilities and stevedoring and mineral processing. During this time, Mr Williams was responsible for the construction of a new underground anthracite coal mine in Wales.

Mr Williams will be responsible for the management of Prairies coal marketing program including oversight of Wood Mackenzie who were recently appointed to conduct coal marketing studies for the LCP in the support of the PFS (refer ASX announcement on 7 August 2014). He will also provide significant input into CHPP design, product marketing strategy and off-take negotiations.

Environmental Consultant: Ms Kate Harcourt
Ms Harcourt is an Independent Environmental Advisor who provides strategic or specific advice to mining companies on the environmental and social aspects of their activities including permitting, environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), community relations and liaison with lenders. She is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), a Member of Institution of Environmental Scientists (MIEnvSc) and holds an MSc in Environmental Technology. She has more than 20 years experience in environmental consultancy for international mining projects including assignments for Rio Tinto projects in Guinea (Simandou), Serbia and Mozambique.

Ms Harcourt will work with Prairies team to ensure that environment and community issues are integrated with engineering at all stages of the LCP project cycle and address lender requirements and industry best practice. Ms Harcourt will also assist in developing ready for use management plans to ensure that ESIA commitments are implemented by all parties involved in construction and operation.

Appointment of Mr Artur Kluczny to Management Board of PD Co
In addition to the new appointments listed above, Prairie has appointed Mr Artur Kluczny to the Management Board of Prairies wholly owned Polish subsidiary, PD Co.
