TOM TAILOR launches e-shop in France and Belgium
Hamburg, 21 March 2011. The lifestyle company TOM TAILOR is expanding its
successful e-commerce activities with the launch of two new TOM TAILOR
e-shops for France www.tom-tailor.fr and Belgium www.tom-tailor.be as of 21
March. Together with the already existing e-shops for Germany, Austria and
the Netherlands, the fashion company's online business is therefore now
available in five countries. This move further strengthens the Group's
Retail segment and boosts its expansion into French-speaking areas.
'The TOM TAILOR e-shop is an important growth driver for our Company. Over
the last three years revenues from the e-shop business have grown by an
average of 62%. The current expansion will enable us to force our market
presence. In addition to this, the online platform is an ideal way for us
to reach our young, lifestyle-oriented target group. We expect the
e-shop to generate 10% of total revenues in the medium term', commented
Dieter Holzer, CEO of the TOM TAILOR Group.
TOM TAILOR launched its online activities in 2007. Through its e-shops TOM
TAILOR sells the full collections of its two brands TOM TAILOR Casual and
TOM TAILOO Denim, as well as accessories. The Group's e-shop generated
revenues of EUR 21.8 million in 2010.
