Designed by an award-winning designer Kostas Metaxas, the Oasis Series is the distillation of the moods, shapes and icons of over three decades of his travel & living in major cities distilled into a private sanctuary. The collection brings a cultured look to the bathroom. It has a theme that references beautiful cities like (so far) New York, Paris, London, Milan, Vienna, Barcelona and New York. Each design in the collection is unique, as it reflects a different style, culture and setting of these famous cities.
The collection begins with Paris, the fashion capital of the world, which reflects Place Vendome, Place de la Concorde, and Champs Elysee. METAXAS & SINS’ attention to design extends to the luxurious finish where each object can be offered in monogrammed copper, red gold, stainless steel, titanium, black ceramic or white. One of the most compelling features of this theme is the cistern “pillow”, a soft and padded leather pillow which allows for a complete back rest while using the toilet. Besides, the bathtub can be offered in “Zebra” pattern, which is indeed the first effort by any designer to incorporate such an abstract organic feature.
The Milan theme takes its cue from motorboats, racy colors and slender Pinin-Farina curves. London reflects the Black Taxi culture with eclectic touches. Barcelona reflects exotic shapes and vibrant colors, Vienna gives a hint of Austro-Hungarian and Prussian culture, while New York reflects the future. True beauty lies in the detail, which becomes evident through exquisite complementing accessories incorporated in this fine collection of bathroom designs.
