The recent devastating events in Japan have once again placed the spotlight
on viable renewable alternatives to meet global energy demand.
Windworks Engineering Inc ( Windworks ) has developed an innovative and
scalable Vertical Axis Wind Turbine , with current orders for their first 5
kW model totalling EUR 4.5 million. The turbine also has wind/solar hybrid
capabilities and enormous advertising potential.
In conjunction with the Renewable Energy Division of the Nanyang
Technological University in Singapore, a program has been developed to
commercialise the turbine and fast-track production to fulfil the rapidly
growing order book. The University is assisting in expanding the Company's
unique solar application , providing even greater efficiency.
Windworks is also developing the advertising potential of the turbine. The
design provides the ability to animate whilst revolving and has attracted
the interest of several high profile international retail businesses who
would like to exploit this advertising potential , produce green energy ,
