(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 09/15/14 -- Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago announced today it will host an educational program offered to physicians and nurses, "Advances in GI Therapeutics: Technology and Approaches in Intraluminal Therapeutics." This informative lecture and hands-on lab session in the growing field of advanced GI therapeutics will be held at the ASGE Institute for Training and Technology, a state-of-the-art facility located in Downers Grove, Illinois on Saturday, November 22, 2014. "This didactic, hands-on training allows the endoscopist the opportunity to refine their skills in a safe and supportive environment," said Dr. Antwan Atia, MD, Gastroenterologist.
At the conference, three internationally-renowned specialists will present the latest insights, findings and technologies about this unique and trending topic. These specialists include Marietta Iacucci MD, PhD, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, University of Calgary, Canada; Dr. Brenna Casey, MD, FASGE, Interventional Gastroenterology, Director of Endoscopic Training, Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School; and Patrick I. Okolo III, MD, Chief, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
This educational course is open to all physicians and nurses. Upon completion of the course, physicians will earn applicable CMEs from Illinois State Medical Society and nurses will receive applicable credits from Ohio Nurses Association. The course starts Saturday morning with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by the seminar and lectures at 8:30 a.m., exhibition hall, lunch and a hands-on lab session in the afternoon that reinforces the day's learning experience.
