Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Dream Defenders, and the National Association of Black Journalists Presents: Know Your Rights: Minorities Dealing With the Police and Issues of Police Brutality
In Conjunction With Annual Legislative Caucus Week

(firmenpresse) - WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 09/17/14 -- Oscar Grant, of Oakland, Calif.; Eric Gantor of New York; Jonathan Ferrell, a student at FAMU; Kendrec Mcdade of Pasadena, Calif; and Marlene Pinnock of Los Angeles, Calif., have all been victims of police brutality.
Alpha Phi Alpha, Dream Defenders, and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), have joined forces to bring this issue to the forefront and to dialogue on solutions during the Congressional Black Caucus', Annual Legislative Conference Week.
This will be an in depth discussion about knowing your rights, dealing with the police, evaluating policy on police sentencing when officers commit crimes, and how journalism and the media can be used as a tool to make a change.
This session will be moderated by actor and author .
