Cypress Adds New Package and Temperature Range Options to Industry-Leading High-Density F-RAM Portfolio
Delivers Industry's Most Energy-Efficient Nonvolatile RAMs for Mission-Critical Data Storage

(NASDAQ: CY) today announced the enhancement of its Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (™) portfolio with a 44-pin TSOPII package option for its 1 Mb parallel asynchronous interface F-RAM and an extended temperature range of -40?C to +105?C for its 2 Mb Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) F-RAM.
The new package option enables pin-to-pin replacement for standard battery-backed SRAM solutions for mission-critical applications in industrial automation, computing, networking and automotive electronics. F-RAM's inherent nonvolatility provides instant data capture and retention for one hundred years with no batteries. Eliminating the need for a battery reduces system cost and complexity. The extended temperature range for the 2 Mb SPI F-RAM addresses the challenging operating conditions faced in many high-performance applications in harsh environments.
