Nuremberg, 8 April 2011 - The 2010 Annual Report presented by hotel.de AG
today has confirmed the preliminary figures announced on 28 February. Sales
thus grew year-on-year by 11.8 % from Euro 32.37 million to Euro 36.17
million, with a further rise in the international share of sales from 40.6%
to 42.2%. Key earnings figures also showed significant improvements.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) thus surged by 128.1% from Euro
0.89 million to Euro 2.03 million, while the annual net surplus increased
from Euro 1.04 million to Euro 1.78 million. Earnings per share rose from
Euro 0.28 to Euro 0.47 and are thus consistent with the dividend proposal
the Management and Supervisory Boards will be submitting to this year's
Annual General Meeting.
'We posted a solid performance in the past year. We not only met our sales
forecast but also reported significantly higher earnings than we had
expected at the beginning of the year', explained Dr. Heinz Raufer, CEO of
hotel.de AG. 'Not only that, we also managed to further enhance hotel.de's
attractiveness and coverage, as well as extending our foreign hotel content
and increasing our international share of sales. We also set a new company
record - the number of bookings made in 2010 exceeded the 2 million mark
for the first time.'
bookings growth continues in new year*
hotel.de AG can report commissionable net booking volumes of Euro 91.04
million for the first quarter of 2011, this corresponds to the volume of
orders received, also for future months, in the quarter under report and is
equivalent to year-on-year growth of 13.0% (previous year: Euro 80.58
million). International booking volumes rose by 9.0% from Euro 34.88
million to Euro 38.02 million. Booking volumes in the company's home market
improved by 16.0% from Euro 45.70 million to Euro 53.02 million. The number
of bookings made also showed notable year-on-year growth, rising by 9.7%
from 427,437 to 468,820.
Net commissionable checkout volumes, the key figure for the volume of
commissionable accommodation actually taken up in the period under report,
grew by 7.0% from Euro 66.71 million to Euro 71.36 million in the first
quarter of 2011. It should be noted in this respect that, due to seasonal
factors, the first quarter is traditionally the weakest quarter and
typically characterised by under-average growth rates.
Given the development in booking figures at the beginning of the new
financial year, hotel.de is maintaining its forecast for 2011 as a whole.
The Management Board thus expects to see sales growth in a low double-digit
percentage range and a year-on-year improvement in EBIT. A similar level of
sales growth accompanied by disproportionate EBIT growth is planned for
2012.

01.04.2011. Booking figures may subsequently be reduced by cancellations.

booking volumes adjusted for non-commissionable bookings. Net booking
volumes correlate more closely to net checkout volumes and thus provide a
more exact indication of the company's future sales performance. The
previous year's figures have been adjusted accordingly.
