Advanced Condition Monitoring for the wind energy industry
VIBGUARD® XP with 20 synchronous channels

(PresseBox) - At the WINDENERGY tradeshow in Hamburg PRÜFTECHNIK Condition Monitoring presents VIBGUARD® XP, a new version of the proven Online Condition Monitoring system VIBGUARD® which is especially suited for the wind industry. VIBGUARD® XP fits perfectly for onshore and offshore applications, and is DNV GL certified (Det Norske Veritas - Germanischer Lloyd). This certification brings lower insurance rates for wind park operators.
Fast, synchronous, reliable - these words describe the new Online Condition Monitoring system for wind turbines. VIBGUARD® XP collects signals simultaneously on 20 channels and processes them, in parallel, to characteristic overall vibration values (e. g. according to ISO 10816-21/VDI 3834), spectra and time waveforms. This keeps reaction times short and enables diagnosis measurements on every measurement point of the drive train if a fault is identified. With the addition of PRÜFTECHNIK's hybrid triaxial sensor, which measures down to 0 Hz, movement of the tower and even ice on the blades can be detected. An event recording functionality allows the capture of transient events with a pre- and post-trigger time. VIBGUARD® XP provides an advanced MODBUS TCP interface which allows a seamless integration between the WEA controller and the Online CMS. This represents the ideal combination of integration and modularity.
As the manufacturer of GL-certified Online Condition Monitoring systems like VIBROWEB XP and operator of a GL-certified Monitoring Center for telediagnosis, PRÜFTECHNIK has over 15 years of experience in the wind energy industry. With its various services, including wind turbine troubleshooting and rotor blade field balancing, the company sets new standards in the industry.
The PRÜFTECHNIK group, with subsidiaries and partners in more than 70 countries worldwide, is continuing to set new standards with innovative technical developments in the sectors of laser alignment and vibration measurement technology to maximize and optimize machine and plant availability.
