Nordex Explosives Ltd. Opens Sudbury Distribution Facility
(firmenpresse) - KIRKLAND LAKE, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/23/14 -- NORDEX EXPLOSIVES LTD. ("Nordex" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE: NXX) is pleased to announce operations are underway at the newly commissioned and licensed Sudbury storage and distribution facility. This strategic location allows Nordex to continue to expand operations and the distribution of products to a number of regional quarry and mining operations. Capital was invested in this location in 2013 with an expectation that operations would commence in 2014. This is now the 4th such location announced by the Corporation.
The site is another step in the previously announced growth strategy for Nordex Explosives Ltd. which identified the need for additional distribution sites to increase the ability to serve new clients and better service existing clients by increasing the geographic radius of operations. This site was chosen specifically in order to supply explosives to key large quarry and mining operations in the immediate vicinity.
Jim Taylor, President, CEO stated; "We continue to execute our expansion plans to drive profitable revenue growth in 2014. This added location is another important milestone in the strategic growth plans of Nordex. We expect to continue this growth strategy in 2014 as several more locations have been identified which will provide additional strategic advantages in new regions."
Nordex is recognized as an innovator and leader in the field of bulk and packaged emulsion products. This includes the development of unique bulk emulsion delivery systems for both surface and underground applications. Each of the new sites has opened up new opportunities for growth. Nordex will actively pursue and expects to acquire an increased share of the explosives market in Canada. Negotiations are ongoing with potential new clients and new factory and satellite sites are being developed as Nordex continues to look to the future.
