IGC to Show Doc Merge Capabilities at Alfresco Summit
Doc Merge, Role-Based Feature Settings and Interface Improvements to IGC Brava Enterprise for Alfresco to Be Previewed

(firmenpresse) - SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 09/23/14 -- (®), an Alfresco Certified Technology Partner and a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, will be previewing upcoming capabilities in the Brava!® Enterprise universal viewer for Alfresco One at the in San Francisco, September 23-25.
The most anticipated new feature is Doc Merge, which allows users to merge pages from multiple files into one cohesive document. Users can simply drag and drop page thumbnails from the various source files into one file. The feature even allows for different files types to be merged types -- such as Microsoft Office documents, CAD drawings, PDFs and image files. Users can then add watermarks or banners to the newly merged file and save it as a PDF or TIFF -- all while leaving the original source files intact.
Other new additions include the ability to customize feature sets by a role or even an individual user -- disabling features that a user doesn't need. Tailoring to specific needs means companies can cut back on the time and money invested in training for features that certain employees might not even use in their day-to-day activities, as well as making the user's interface clean and streamlined.
"Simply put, our latest integration allows users to work more effectively. Doc Merge empowers them to focus on just the document pages they need, and the role-based settings let them focus on just the features they need," said Mark Farlin, IGC director of product management.
The new version also includes some user-interface improvements, such as more descriptive dialog box messages and an enhanced compare feature.
Certified for Alfresco One, Brava's HTML5 client, the first HTML viewer to support vector, offers crisp views at any zoom level. The zero-footprint Brava viewer runs within a web browser, so users across the enterprise can view and annotate documents on PCs or Macs -- without installing expensive native software on every desktop.
