Grässlin GmbH brings R&D home again
(PresseBox) - At the beginning of last year, Grässlin GmbH announced that with the support of US based parent company Intermatic Inc. the location St. Georgen shall be established further.
Now the words are followed up by actions and 2014 starts with a further important step into the announced direction.
After the closing of the Spanish subsidiary in Madrid the departments R&D and Product Management, which were located there, are built up in St. Georgen gradually. In August the first design engineer has been hired, by now the department consists of seven people.
The company sees an enormous growth potential in all its markets so the both departments should necessarily get an addition. That is why Grässlin's R&D manager Michael Bartle emphasizes he was still searching for ambitious and motivated employees for his division.
Both Grässlin and Intermatic are convinced that due to these measures the success of former times will not only be met but maybe even exceeded.
Founded in 1956 as family enterprise in the heart of the Black Forest, today Grässlin counts among the leading international companies for time switch technology, light and temperature control as well as tariff time switches. In over 50 countries Grässlin sells more than 1.500 products and thus reaches an export level of well over 80%.
Since June 2007, Grässlin belongs to the US family-owned company Intermatic. The company, which can look back on a remarkable tradition itself, counts among the world's leading manufacturers of energy control systems as well as professional lighting. Intermatic Inc. is known as one of the world's largest producers of time switch technology with more than 600 employees at 4 locations.
