TOM TAILOR e-shop receives awards for shipping quality and user
friendliness
Hamburg, 26 April 2011. TOM TAILOR has received two awards for its e-shop
www.tom-tailor.de. In the current study 'Best Online Shop Fashion 2011'
conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality, the TOM TAILOR
e-shop received the quality seal 'excellent' in the category shipping
quality and is thus among the top three online shops. Above all, the TOM
TAILOR e-shop convinced the jury in the shipping test with the fastest
delivery time of orders. The simple and quick order process, the low flat
rates for packaging and insurance, the excellent product quality and the
convenient return procedure also received positive ratings. Overall, the
market researchers analysed 16 online shops for service quality by
telephone and e-mail, Internet presence, shipping quality and the order and
payment conditions.
The fashion group's e-shop also racked up points with the 'Shop Usability
Award 2011' and came out as the winner in the category fashion. At the
award ceremony in April 2011, the jurors complemented the TOM TAILOR e-shop
for its high-quality depictions in many variations, detailed care tips and
a size advisor.
'With an average growth in revenues of 62% over the past three years the
e-shop represents one of our key sales channels. We are investing
continuously to expand our online offers and services. Thus, we are very
pleased about the two awards - they are at the same time confirmation and
incentive to continue along this path,' said Dieter Holzer, CEO of the TOM
TAILOR Group.
TOM TAILOR just recently expanded its successful e-commerce business: The
TOM TAILOR iPhone apps have been available since February 2011 which
provide customers the opportunity to order the complete range of TOM TAILOR
lifestyle offers. In addition, the two TOM TAILOR e-shops for France
www.tom-tailor.fr and Belgium www.tom-tailor.be have been online since
March. The fashion group is now present in five countries with its online
shop, including Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
TOM TAILOR launched its online activities in 2007. TOM TAILOR sells all
collections of its two brands TOM TAILOR Casual and TOM TAILOR Denim as
well as accessories via the e-shops. In 2010 the e-shop generated revenues
of EUR 21.8 million. For the medium term it is expected to generate 10% of
total revenues.
