Essanelle Hair Group presents figures for the first quarter 2011
Sales revenue increases from EUR 30.7 to EUR 30.9 million
EBT of EUR 0.6 million, from EUR 0.3 million
Düsseldorf, 13 May 2011 - In the first quarter of 2011, Essanelle Hair
Group AG was able to improve sales as well as earnings compared to the
previous year. Sales revenue increased by 0.5%, to EUR 30.9 million
compared to EUR 30.7 million in the first quarter of the previous year.
Among the individual salon concepts, HairExpress continued to document
large growth dynamics, with a growth of 10.4%, to EUR 9.1 million (previous
year's quarter: EUR 8.2 million). Super Cut generated EUR 5.2 million
compared to EUR 5.1 million in the same period of the previous year. The
essanelle Ihr Friseur concept generated EUR 13.8 million compared to EUR
14.6 million in the previous year. The TOP TEN brand generated EUR 1.2
million in the first quarter, from EUR 1.3 million. The Beauty Hair Shop
concept, which specialises in the sale of exclusive hair care products,
achieved previous year's level with sales of EUR 1.6 million.
Essanelle Hair Group was also able to improve its earnings performance
indicators throughout. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and
Amortization (EBITDA) increased by 9.8%, from EUR 1.7 million in the
previous year to EUR 1.9 million. After the first three months of 2011,
Earnings Before Tax (EBT) also ranged above previous year's figure, at EUR
0.6 million, from EUR 0.3 million. Finally, earnings per share amounted to
EUR 0.07, from EUR 0.06 in the previous year.
Achim Mansen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Essanelle Hair Group AG,
said: 'We are quite satisfied with the first quarter - especially
considering the fact that this year's Easter period fell in the second
quarter. With an auspicious start like this to the financial year we remain
confident that we are able to increase sales and earnings as predicted for
the full year.'
