Lisbon, 17th of May 2011 - Ynvisible, a Portugal-based company dedicated to
the research, development and commercialization of interactive printed
displays, has successfully developed touch-sensitive functionalities for
its electrochromic displays.
Using no additional material element to its existing display architecture,
Ynvisible's displays now allow interactivity through touch. The company has
filed a patent application and registered the trademark Yntouch(TM), to
protect the associated intellectual property.
This development is an important step towards Ynvisible's vision of adding
seamless interactivity to everyday objects. For a diversity of
applications, touch-sensitive interaction may feel more natural to users
than using switches, buttons or other elements located outside the display
area.
You may find live examples of Ynvisible's technology at the next
'Large-area, Organic and Printed Electronics Convention' (LOPE-C) in
Frankfurt, from June 28th to June 30th. Ynvisible will be present with a
display booth on the exhibition floor and will also be giving a
presentation at the event's Investor Forum.
Ynvisible, a spin-out of YDreams (www.ydreams.com), aims to become a
world-leader in interactive electrochromic displays. The technologies
developed by Ynvisible will allow the inclusion of interactive and animated
features on products in areas such as packaging, advertising, print media,
signage and smart wearables. The company has been listed on the Frankfurt
Stock Exchange since the 9th of February 2011.
