Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG

Berlin - 23 May 2011. The National Technology Enterprises Company NTEC, a
fully owned subsidiary of Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) the sovereign
wealth fund of the State of Kuwait, has acquired 11% of Heliocentris Energy
Solutions AG, a leading specialist in environmentally friendly energy
storage solutions based in Berlin, by means of a capital increase. Through
the issue of 480,500 new bearer shares at EUR5.20 per share in exchange for
cash from authorised capital without shareholder subscription rights, NTEC
has successfully joined the existing group of shareholders.
A further strategic partner investing in Heliocentris is Life Energy, a
company specialising in renewable energy solutions that is also based in
Kuwait. Through the issue of 19,230 new bearer shares at EUR5.20 per share
in exchange for cash from authorised capital without shareholder
subscription rights has also become a new shareholder of Heliocentris.
With these capital increases, Heliocentris achieved gross issue proceeds of
EUR2.6 million. As a result of the capital increases, the company's share
capital will increase from EUR3.885 million to EUR4.385 million. The issue
was supported by Lang&Schwarz Broker GmbH, Düsseldorf.

the planned opening of its own office on site, the Berlin company will
further increase its presence in the region whilst expanding its customer

NTEC is fostering the expansion in the use of renewable energies inKuwait
and the region as a whole. Consequently, the training and research offering
(Clean Energy Training) of Heliocentris is highly attractive for NTEC to

Winning both new partners also represents a major step for the area of
Clean Power Solutions. Autonomous power solutions based on renewable
energies experience a strongly growing interest in the Middle East. With
