Visisys target Intelligent Security Delivered as a Cloud-Based Service
Visisys Holdings Plc identified acquisitions in security 'as a service'
growing market. Security applications delivered as cloud-based services
will have a substantial impact on the security and energy savings industry.
Cloud security will enable security controls and functions to be delivered
in modern ways and by new software base types of security service
providers. It will also enable enterprises to use security technologies and
techniques that are not otherwise cost-effective.
Intelligent security perimeter controls requires to protect using
intelligent algorithms developed by Visisys such as intelligent detection
of forgotten items, facial recognition integrated with different devices
like access control, Point of Sales (POS), ATM's . Cloud-enabled security
'proxies' whereby all access to approved cloud-based IP devises in scalable
integrated systems and flow through cloud-based security services that
enforce authentication, data loss prevention, intrusion prevention, network
access control and so on.'
Another feature of cloud-enabled security is the ability to obtain more
enterprise security controls for multi locations as well as Safe City
functions on demand. Enterprises often struggle to justify the expense of
security controls that are needed to respond to alarms and unanticipated
events. Cloud security, however, can make these types of services available
on event bases, at the scale appropriate to address it for multi-location
properties.
Cloud-style security is also enable vendors to offer their security
products as a service and match new release of IP based devises for
security and energy savings - such as bandwidth, storage and processing -
to the demand for their as-a-service delivery.
Visisys identified acquisitions of Managed Service Providers in Cloud-Based
Security which will be trusted security brands that can extend their
products and services to assess and validate the security controls of
cloud-style infrastructure and IP based function providers, as well as
security service providers that can implement and manage security controls
for security as a 'cloud-style.' Visisys customers can use cloud-based
security services to reduce the cost of security controls and to address
the new security challenges that cloud-based computing will bring are most
likely to prosper.
Cloud computing services, whose revenue is projected by accounting firm
KPMG to hit $148.8 billion globally by 2014 from $68.3 billion in 2010,
provide computational resources like applications, databases, and file
services among others, through a network of computers.
