OP-Pohjola reforms its management model: deeper customer understanding for
decision-making
OP-Pohjola continues to reform the management and organisational structures of
OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative Consolidated. The changes are part of the
rebuilding of the new OP-Pohjola, fully owned by the customers.
The procedures for information and consultation of employees that were started
on 12 August 2014 in the Central Cooperative Consolidated relating to this
rebuilding have been brought to a conclusion. The procedures included a total of
113 management positions, excluding operations abroad. As a result, 91 directors
will continue in similar or new positions in the Central Cooperative
Consolidated, and 19 directors will be leaving either through layoffs or other
arrangements.
The new management system of OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative Consolidated
will be founded on three business segments: Banking, Non-life Insurance and
Wealth Management. The objective is to streamline the Group's operations, ensure
sufficient customer understanding and to involve customers more and more in the
Group's operations and product and service development.
The new organisation will take effect on 1 October 2014.
