PRSA-New York Announces Communications Week Events

(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 10/09/14 -- The New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is participating in the first Communications Week, a cross-industry celebration of the public relations, communications and media industries. The week will consist of inspirational, informational and social events at various locations around New York City and online. PRSA-NY and the PRSA Tri-State District are pleased to offer the following events to PRSA members and non-members:
The conference will cover a variety of topics from leadership and diversity to tools and technology and the future of journalism. This is a must-attend event for communicators seeking to engage in thought-provoking conversations with some of the industry's most creative thinkers and innovators. Discussion topics will include Leadership; Women & Diversity in Public Relations; Tools & Technologies; and the Future of Journalism. Speakers are Fred Cook (Golin); Barri Rafferty (Ketchum); Richard Gallant (CNN Digital) and Chris Albritton (The Daily Beast).
How do PR professionals continue to be a relevant and essential part of the media pipeline? This panel will answer that question and explore the shifting landscape for professional communicators. The event will include networking, facility tours and an interactive discussion with panelists Jill Malandrino (TheStreet.com); Beth Stebner (New York Daily News); Bob Monek (WABC-TV); Willow Hackett (BetterTV); Cindy Vanegas (Huffington Post Live); Alison Pandolfo (Fox NewsEdge) and moderator Paulina Brusca from Synaptic Digital.
