Metso to supply coated fine paper line to Shandong Huatai Paper in China
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Metso Corporation's company release on July 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.Metso will supply a coated fine paper production line to ShandongHuatai Paper Co. Ltd, member of Huatai Group, in Dong Ying City,Shandong Province, China. The start-up of the production line isscheduled for the first quarter of 2011. The total value of the orderis approximately EUR 170 million.Metso's delivery will include a complete paper machine from headboxto reel, with related air systems and auxiliaries, and finishingsystems. The comprehensive Metso automation system package willcomprise process, machine and quality controls, profilers, webinspection system, condition and runnability monitoring, andanalyzers.The new 8.1-m-wide PM 8 will produce close to 500,000 tonnes ofcoated and uncoated fine papers annually. The paper machine designspeed is 1,800 m/min and the coater design speed is 2,000 m/min.The Shandong Huatai mill is located in Dong Ying City, ShandongProvince.
