Modernizing an Important Cultural Showcase in the Eastern Townships

Government of Canada Supports the Centre culturel de l'Universite de Sherbrooke

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced $1 million in funding for the Centre culturel de l'Universite de Sherbrooke. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

This amount, provided through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, will be used for an important upgrade to theatrical infrastructure and stage equipment in Salle Maurice-O'Bready, a premier cultural venue in the Eastern Townships.
