CSA Group Opens New Hazardous Locations Testing Laboratory in Greater Dallas Area
State-of-the-Art Facility Expands Capabilities to Offer Comprehensive Hazardous Locations Services Locally

At the new 20,000 sq ft facility, highly experienced experts will offer testing and certification services to the requirements of a number of national and international standards mainly for hazardous locations products. This involves testing of equipment that is used in a location where there is potential for explosion due to airborne particles or fumes, and it is vital to help limit the potential for a serious accident.
The modern facility will be equipped with an accredited, full service explosion-proof chamber and flame-proof laboratory featuring specialized high-speed video equipment to capture slow motion analysis of flame propagation test failures and ambient temperature operating ranges from -80 degrees C to +180 degrees C.
The new laboratory in Plano, Texas is accredited by International Accreditation Services, Inc., Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Standards Council of Canada.
