FREE CHECKS FOR MR FLUFFY ASBESTOS IN KU-RING-GAI COUNCIL HOMES
Residents living in the Ku-ring-gai Council areas can take advantage of NSW government’s initiative to survey homes that may contain the high risk form of asbestos insulation – especially of the kind supplied by ‘Mr Fluffy’.
(firmenpresse) - Homes and buildings constructed before the 1980’s usually contained significant quantities of asbestos. Overtime asbestos deteriorates and begins releasing tiny fibres into the air. These fibres when inhaled are dangerous to the health of anyone living or working in the vicinity.
Further, an asbestos insulation supplier going by the name ‘Mr Fluffy’ and active during the period 1960 through 70’s had supplied homes in the Ku-ring-gai Council areas with loose-fill asbestos insulation that has been determined to be dangerous to health.
If you do not live in the Ku-ring-gai Council area but your home is 30 or more years old, it might be a good idea to bring in an expert to test it for presence of asbestos insulation.
TAKE ACTION BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE AND ALSO SAVE ON INSPECTION - AVAIL OF FREE ASBESTOS CHECK

Heads of Asbestos Coordinating Authorities (HACA) have announced that homes located in Ku-ring-gai Council and constructed between the 1960s and 1970s should contact Work Cover on 13 10 50 to request for a free Mr Fluffy asbestos inspection. This inspection will be conducted by a licensed and certified asbestos assessor.
If your home was built between the 1960s and 1970s and is in the Ku-ring-gai Council, but are unsure if your home contains asbestos, call 13 10 50 anyway. Do not attempt to inspect your home by yourself. The inspection is totally FREE and irrespective of whether asbestos is found or not, you won’t have to pay anything for the inspection.
If asbestos is found, the asbestos assessor will guide you on the procedures to be followed. If your home is located in the above area and was built between the 1960s and call Work Cover on 13 10 50 to request for a free Mr Fluffy inspection. Act now!
