Arizona Celebrates Historic Launch of First-Ever Multi-State U.S. Lottery Draw Game at $5 Price Point

(firmenpresse) - PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 10/20/14 -- Earlier today, the Arizona Lottery commemorated the launch of a new national draw game, MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB, at a monumental launch event on "Good Morning America" in New York. The Arizona Lottery joins 22 other states in being part of MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB, the first national multi-state Lottery game to be launched in 12 years. The unique game is designed to spread the wealth among players by offering multiple million dollar prizes in conjunction with a Top Prize ranging from $15-$25 million.

The participating lotteries set up a life-size MONOPOLY board in Times Square, giving players attending the event a chance to win real money while playing a modified version of MONOPOLY. Comedian and actor Billy Gardell of "Mike & Molly" and "You, Me and Dupree" and host of the forthcoming MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB television game show, along with Lottery representatives from Arizona and other participating states, were on hand for the game launch.

"We are excited to make more and more millionaires in Arizona," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "This game was designed to create more simultaneous millionaires than any other game in U.S. Lottery history."

MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery draw tickets are on sale now in Arizona and offer three different ways to win a million dollars. Players can win the Top Prize from $15 to $25 million, become one of the many Millionaires' Club $1 million winners (when the Top Prize is hit), and register tickets online to build MONOPOLY-themed Property Sets to earn an entry for a chance to be a contestant on the nationally televised game show. This is the first Lottery game to combine the high-stakes and rich rewards of multi-state lottery gaming with the fun and entertainment of a national television game show.

MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game is a $5 draw game and is the first multi-state draw game at this price level in the United States, though $5 is the most popular price point for instant scratch ticket games. This $5 price point strengthens the game's play value while differentiating it within lottery draw game portfolios.

The MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game draw will take place Friday evenings at 8:15 p.m., enabling players across the country the opportunity to wake up a millionaire every Saturday morning. In February 2015, the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB TV game show will debut. The weekly show will welcome players from participating states to its studio audience in Las Vegas where some will have the chance to compete before a live audience for a chance to win $1 million.

Each ticket will include a unique code that players can use to register their tickets online for a chance to appear on the lottery game show. Thousands of players will win a five-day four-night trip for two to Las Vegas to join the show's studio audience of other players. Some studio audience members will be selected at random to compete on the television show. Contestants on the show will play a series of games with a MONOPOLY theme, each of which will offer cash and other prizes valued up to $100,000. A final round will offer one player on each episode a shot at $1 million.
