Zepp Partners With Major League Baseball Players and PGA TOUR Pros to Expand Multi-Sport Training Platform With Exclusive Content and Free Access to New Video Analysis Features
Zepp Enables Users to View, Compare and Analyze Swings From Pros Including Mike Trout, Hunter Pence, David Ortiz, Keegan Bradley and Jennie Finch
(firmenpresse) - LOS GATOS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/21/14 -- Zepp, the leader in sports performance technology, today has announced a momentous expansion to its multi-sport training platform. Redesigned apps for Zepp Baseball and Zepp Golf now offer powerful new video analysis features and free content, including the ability to analyze and compare swings to the world's best professional baseball, golf and softball athletes.
These new video analysis features allow users to watch pro swings from different angles, capture their own swing on video, and compare swings side-by-side, all available as a free app download with or without a Zepp sensor. The free apps also provide a detailed analysis of pros' swings, complete with specific training tips and drills. When paired with the Zepp multi-sport sensor, the app delivers the most powerful 3D training platform for baseball, golf, tennis, and softball.
Zepp furthers its mission to capture meaningful and actionable sports data by partnering with Major League baseball players, PGA TOUR pros, and one of the best players in the history of softball to create a library of pro swings within the free Zepp app to help players at all levels improve their game. Swings from three-time American League All-Star Mike Trout, three-time National League All-Star Hunter Pence, three-time World Series Champion David Ortiz, 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup Team member Keegan Bradley and U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Jennie Finch and others are now available inside the new Zepp Baseball and Zepp Golf apps.
"Our mission at Zepp is to build the world's most expansive multi-sport training platform to help athletes of all levels reach their maximum potential," said Jason Fass, CEO of Zepp. "Today we're releasing a first wave of content, providing the ability to learn from the best players in the game. The new video analysis features, added to the already powerful 3D analysis and performance data from the Zepp sensor, open up the power of the Zepp platform to anyone with an iOS or Android device."
Each Zepp Pro has a dedicated section of the app featuring their swings from multiple camera angles in HD video. In addition, the new apps provide the pro's swings in 3D with associated swing data showing key metrics of each swing.
"When I was growing up I tried to develop my hitting style watching video of Derek Jeter. But I was just swinging, I didn't know if I was doing something right or wrong," said Mike Trout. "But now, using Zepp, young players are going to be able to accelerate their learning so much faster. I wish I had Zepp Baseball when I was a kid."
"Zepp gives me the ability to capture actual data around the critical elements of my swing when I'm playing my best. Then, when I'm not, I can quickly see exactly what's changed and get back on track," said Keegan Bradley.
"Zepp technology is a game changer. Every player, not just the pros, can get immediate feedback on bat speed and angle, and can see their swing in 3D. It lets players at every level work smarter, not just harder," said Jennie Finch.
Zepp is proud to welcome the following amazing players to the platform and make their content immediately available for download:
