TOM TAILOR continues to grow sales in the retail business in Q2 2011

Hamburg, 19 July 2011. TOM TAILOR Holding AG once again particularly
benefited from growth in its own stores in the second quarter of 2011. The
Company increased sales in the retail segment (including e-commerce) by
63.1% compared to the same period in the previous year. On a like-for-like
basis the segment grew by 11.1% and achieved like-for-like growth for the
tenth successive quarter.
In the first half of 2011 the Company achieved like-for-like growth in the
retail segment of 7.1%. Textile trading in Germany ended the first half of
2011 up 2% (source: TW Testclub 27/2011). Thus, TOM TAILOR has again
exceeded the average market growth. 'We are pleased for two reasons: First,
demand for our lines TOM TAILOR Denim Male and Denim Female, which both
address our young and fashion-conscious target group, developed
particularly strong. And second we benefit from the advanced expansion of
our own, controlled distribution areas', said Dieter Holzer, CEO of the TOM
TAILOR Group.
At the end of June 2011, TOM TAILOR operated 215 own retail stores across
Europe (compared to 158 at the end of 2010). TOM TAILOR Holding will
publish the results for the 2nd quarter on August 10, 2011.
