IXIASOFT Joins World-Class Group of DITA Experts, Will Aid in Development of Next DITA Standards
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/29/14 -- IXIASOFT, a global leader in the component content management systems (CCMS) marketplace, is now a Sponsor-level Member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee.
OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit, international consortium focused on the adoption of open standards for the global information society. As an OASIS Sponsor member, IXIASOFT and its team of DITA experts will have the opportunity to further influence development of the DITA standard, such as the upcoming DITA 1.3 specification. IXIASOFT plans on using this enhanced level of membership to ensure a timely release of their IXIASOFT DITA CMS soon after the new specification is ratified.

The purpose of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee (TC) is to define and maintain the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) and to promote the use of the architecture for creating standard information types and domain-specific markup vocabularies. DITA is specializable, which allows for the introduction of specific semantics for specific purposes without increasing the size of other DTDs, and which allows the inheritance of shared design and behavior and interchangeability with unspecialized content.
