Announced last month at TechCrunch Disrupt, Equil Smartpen 2 lets users capture, enhance, save and share notes and sketches on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Android devices and Windows PC -- no special ink or paper is required. Equil Smartpen 2 features handwriting recognition that easily converts handwritten notes to digital text and built-in memory to store up to 10,000 pages of notes and sketches that can be imported to your mobile device, Mac or PC when convenient.

Equil Smartpen 2 allows users to create collections, tag and highlight content, add multimedia and modify the color and thickness after notes are captured. Additionally, notes are saved automatically to Dropbox and iCloud with user's permission, and synced to Evernote.
To enhance the experience of Equil Smartpen 2, two free apps: Equil Note and Equil Sketch, are available to download for free from the on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and on Android devices. With Equil Note, users can create, edit, organize and store written notes from any device. With Equil Sketch, users can capture artistic designs digitally without losing the pen-to-paper element of the drawing process.
