Decision of the district court on Talvivaara Sotkamo Ltd's bankruptcy
application
The district court of Espoo has today decided to declare the operating
subsidiary of Talvivaara Mining Company Plc ("Talvivaara"), Talvivaara Sotkamo
Ltd. ("Talvivaara Sotkamo") bankrupt upon Talvivaara Sotkamo's application. The
reorganization proceedings of Talvivaara Sotkamo shall simultaneously cease.The
District Court appointed Attorney-at-Law Mr. Jari Salminen from the law firm JB
Eversheds Oy as the estate administrator in respect of the bankruptcy
proceedings.
The listed parent company Talvivaara will provide services for the bankruptcy
estate of Talvivaara Sotkamo and continue its operations for the time being with
the target of securing sufficient financing to acquire the mining operations and
associated assets and rights from the bankruptcy estate of Talvivaara Sotkamo.
