Top Prize Win Triggers Multiple Million Dollar Prizes
(firmenpresse) - PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 11/10/14 -- A lucky Arizona player holds a MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB ticket worth $1 million following Friday night's drawing!
The Top Prize, $21 million, was won by a player in New Jersey in the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game. As a result, 14 $1 million prizes were triggered, including one to a player in Arizona.
Each MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB ticket has a unique Millionaires' Club number on it. When the Top Prize is won, a second drawing of a minimum of 10 Club numbers is conducted. Other MILLIONAIRES' CLUB prizes were won Friday night in DC, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas.
Friday night's winning MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB numbers were: 1-9-11-12-27 Property Number-18 (B. & O. Railroad). The $1 million winning ticket from Arizona was purchased at Jacksons Food Stores located at 21001 N. Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix.
"We are thrilled that Arizona is one of the first states to have a $1 million prize winner in this inaugural shower of millionaires," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We encourage our players to check their tickets; there were many prizes won on this draw."
The MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game went on sale October 19. Its unique play style features three ways to win $1 million. Players can win the Top Prize that is capped at $25 million. Once that Top Prize is won, a separate drawing that awards a minimum of 10 Millionaires' Club prizes of $1 million each is conducted. Each week the Top Prize is not won, the number of $1 million prizes increases.
Players will also have a shot at a $1 million prize on the upcoming national primetime "MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB" TV show, which will debut in February. The show will feature an audience of players who have been randomly selected after completing MONOPOLY-themed Property Sets by entering codes from their tickets on .
Selected players will be flown to Las Vegas where the show will be taped, and will receive a five-day, four-night stay for two plus spending money in Las Vegas.
The MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game drawings are Fridays at 9:15 p.m. MST and tickets are $5 each. Currently, MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB draw tickets are available in 23 states around the country.
