Baltimore-Area Company Encourages Employee Charity Involvement Each Month

(firmenpresse) - MILLERSVILLE, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 07/15/11 -- Employees of (TAN), a wholesale vacation accommodations program, raised $2901.50 during a month-long fundraising endeavor for Triniti Wilburn and her family, from Crofton, Maryland. Triniti was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL), a rare type of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL). Our goal was to help alleviate some of the financial burden the family will feel from this disease.

Aimee Wells, a team leader in Travel Advantage Network's Total Vacation Services department, personally selected this charity because it hits close to home. Her aunt and grandmother passed away from cancer.

"To see a child who is so sick yet for the most part is always smiling is truly amazing to me," stated Wells. "I truly believe the golden rule -- do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Travel Advantage Network is focused on being actively engaged with charitable organizations, with fundraising initiatives undertaken each month by employees. During the month of June, employees supported Trinti by featuring two pay-to-wear-jeans days, a 50/50 raffle, a bake sale, a silent auction, and selling Triniti bracelets -- with all proceeds going to the charity.
