Joe Hellerstein to Discuss How Interaction Technologies Can Lead to 10x Productivity Gains for Data Scientists and Business Analysts

Hellerstein -- who is also a Chancellor's Professor of Computer Science at Berkeley -- will discuss breakthroughs in data wrangling and productivity gains for data scientists in a session titled, "Interaction Breakthroughs in Wrangling Data." Hellerstein will present how the human computer-interaction research at Berkeley and Stanford is being translated into enterprise software products such as Trifacta, resulting in 10x productivity gains for data scientists, and allowing business analysts to perform self-service data transformation for analysis.
"There has been intense interest in recent years in the role of the Data Scientist -- it has been called one of the 'sexiest' jobs of our time.
