Joint establishment of a training centre for public transport

Hanoi, 19 November 2014 – IVU Traffic Technologies AG and the Vietnamese University of Transport and Communications (UTC) will in future cooperate to train managers and operators of transport companies in Vietnam. IVU CEO Martin Müller-Elschner and the Director of UTC Prof Tran Dac Su signed a corresponding declaration of intent in the presence of the German Minister for Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel and his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Quang Vinh.

(firmenpresse) - The cooperation between IVU and UTC will involve instruction and further training for specialists and managers of Vietnamese transport companies, as well as joint research on topics relating to public transport, and the transfer of technology and knowledge. Among other things, it is proposed to offer joint seminars, lectures, and courses. The objective of the practically-oriented programme is to promote expertise and to transfer managerial skills.

Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU Traffic Technologies AG, emphasised the importance of the cooperation agreement for the development of Vietnamese transport systems: “In the coming years, Vietnam will face the task of comprehensively modernising its transport infrastructure. With our specialist knowledge and the experience gained in hundreds of projects worldwide, we can make an important contribution towards preparing the country’s transport companies to meet the challenges of growing mobility.”

Already in 2012, Vietnam Railways (VNR) chose to plan and control its entire operations using IVU.rail, the software solution from IVU developed specially for its rail customers. Recently, IVU Traffic Technologies AG also opened a branch office in the Vietnamese capital city Hanoi.

IVU’s CEO Martin Müller-Elschner is accompanying the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel on his four-day trip through Vietnam as a member of a high-ranking delegation from Germany which will also be attending the 14th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) in Ho Chi Minh City.
